In this episode, we're celebrating National Heritage Week 2025 and participating in a very special local project, 'Kilrush Heritage Quarter'.
Supported by Kilrush and District Historical Society and Clare County Council, it's a collaboration between local businesses and community groups in Kilrush, with a programme of 21 events of all kinds, and for all ages, from Saturday 16th to Sunday 24th of August.
We have three events taking place at Banner Books, and we talk to Suzanne Rumsey of Alongside Hope about her workshop 'Mapping The Ground We Stand On' which we're hosting at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 20th.
We also chat to our lovely neighbour, Judi Kinnane, the powerhouse behind the foodie heaven that is Jellyfish Marketplace. She talks about her upcoming event, 'The Art of Coffee Roasting', and about the importance of collaboration.
You can find full details of all our events over on our Facebook page, and listings for the whole Kilrush Heritage Quarter programme in the events calendar at kilrush.ie
